Even though Diwali was three days ago, the spirit of light and joy still lingers at FCC Family Care Centre! We recently celebrated the Festival of Lights with a creative and meaningful activity: making diyas paper artwork.
Diyas, the traditional oil lamps, are central to Diwali, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. They represent enlightenment, prosperity, knowledge, and wisdom. Their warm glow dispels darkness, welcoming positivity and abundance into our lives.
Our residents embraced the opportunity to create their own diyas using colourful paper, glitter, and other art supplies. Each diya was a unique expression of their creativity and festive spirit.
This activity not only fostered creativity and fine motor skills but also provided a meaningful way for our residents to connect with the cultural traditions of Diwali. It sparked conversations, laughter, and a sense of shared joy.
At FCC Family Care Centre, we believe in celebrating diversity and creating a welcoming environment for all. Diwali is a time for reflection, gratitude, and new beginnings, and we were honored to share this special occasion with our residents.
We welcome everyone to live well and be present with us.
