1. What is the process for admission?

Admission procedure:

  1. Fix a date of admit
  2. Providing documents (such as medical reports, Identification Card)
  3. Signing documents
  4. Make payments
  5. Physical/Nursing assessment
  6. Rtk test before entering the Home

2. Are there different types of living arrangements (e.g., shared rooms, private rooms)?

Yes, we offer both private and shared room options depending on the resident's preferences, medical condition, and budget. We have both private and shared rooms available.

3. Can couples stay together in the same room?

Yes, couples can stay together in the same room.

4. What is the staff-to-resident ratio?

Our staff-to-resident ratio is 1:6.

5. How are meals and dietary needs handled?

We provide five meals per day, including breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner, and supper.

6. Are there on-site medical professionals, such as doctors and nurses?

We have nurses on-site 24/7 and a doctor who visits residents bi-monthly. We also have a doctor on call for emergency care.

7. What type of rehabilitation services do you offer (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy)?

We offer:

  1. Physiotherapy

  5. Music Therapy
  6. Art Therapy
  7. Pet Therapy

8. How do you support residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s?

We have a dedicated unit specifically designed with a soothing and calming atmosphere to minimize confusion and help residents with dementia to rest. We also support them with personalized and therapeutic activities that can aid in memory recall and improve social engagement.

9. What happens in case of a medical emergency?

Our staff are well-trained to assess and provide immediate first aid treatment. Whenever necessary, our staff will arrange for an ambulance and escort the resident to the hospital.

10. What are your visiting hours and procedures?

We are open every day from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Prior booking via WhatsApp is compulsory before visiting."

12. What are the qualifications of your staff?

Our staff are qualified nurses and trained caregivers. All our staff are required to attend specific training periodically to ensure we deliver quality care to all residents.

13. How is medical care handled at your facility?

Medical care is typically coordinated by our on-site nurses and doctors, including other healthcare specialists who may be appointed by the family.

14. What activities or programs do you offer for residents?

Activities may include exercise programs, arts and crafts, music therapy, games, gardening, social events, and outings to engage residents and improve their quality of life.

15. How do you ensure the safety of residents?

Safety measures include secure entrances/exits, fall prevention programs, emergency call systems, regular monitoring, and 24/7 staffing.

16. Is there 24/7 supervision for residents?

Yes, we do provide 24/7 nursing service, regular roundcheck and CCTV for close monitoring.

17. Do you have a family support group?

Yes, we have a family support group to help families get the latest updates about their loved ones.

18. What is your approach to palliative care?

Our care approach is holistic. For palliative care, the focus is always on improving the resident's quality of life. Besides managing pain and symptoms, emotional support and encouragement to participate in activities based on the resident's preferences are also high on our priority list.

19. Do you have non-Malaysian patients staying at your centre?

Yes, we have non-Malaysian residents staying at our centre.

20. Can you take care of immigration process for Singaporean patient staying?

Immigration processes are typically the responsibility of the resident and their family; however, we may offer guidance.

21. Do you also bring patient to doctor's visit or hospital appointment?

Yes, transportation for medical appointments can be arranged by the our centre with additional costs

22. Do you have a single room?

Yes, we do.

23. What does your package include?

In general, our package includes 5 meals per day, housekeeping, laundry, regular roundcheck, assist in ADLs, as well as personalised care plan.

24. We are looking for only retirement home without the nursing service?

Yes, FCC Family Care Centre is Johor's first wellness village, making it highly suitable for retirement.

25. Can we bring out the resident?

Yes, residents can usually leave the facility for visits or outings, though procedures may be in place to ensure their safety.
